On Monday, November 3, the Filipina Women’s Network will launch "DISRUPT. Filipina Women: Proud. Loud. Leading Without a Doubt." in the United States.
“DISRUPT. Filipina Women: Proud. Loud. Leading Without a Doubt” is the first in a series of leadership books by the Filipina Women's Network. Maria Beebe, the book's chief editor, describes the book as a collective synthesis on the meaning of Filipina women’s leadership experiences as they navigated the global workplace.
The book's authors are recipients of FWN’s 100 Most Influential Filipina Women in the World Award™.
“This book project is a deep examination of how Filipina women in diaspora thrived in the challenges of living in the modern multicultural global economy,” explained Susie Quesada, president of FWN. “This is the definitive book that will change the public’s perceptions of Filipina women’s capacities to lead, FWN’s Pinay Power 2020 mission.”
“I congratulate the FWN editors Maria Africa Beebe and Maya Ong Escudero for their labor of love, guiding the authors’ writings, transforming the submissions into literary gems, and in the daunting task of pulling all the details of the publishing process. KUDOS for the elegant book cover design goes to multi-awarded Lucille Lozada Tenazas, Global FWN100 ‘13 and Henry Wolf Professor of Communication Design & Associate Dean of Art, Media and Technology at Parsons The New School for Design,” expressed FWN Founder & CEO Marily Mondejar.
